Charlie Chaplin (w/ Edna Purviance) is struck by an arrow & ribbon fired by Cupid in The Bond (1918, dir. Charlie Chaplin)

This short film was actually a propaganda stunt to sell more Liberty Bonds for the U.S. during WW1, but of course Mr. Chaplin wanted to illustrate the different kinds of bonds including friendship & love, and then end it with him selling bonds. USA! USA! USA!
